Frequently Asked Questions

Our standard massage is a therapeutic deep tissue massage’ different therapists have their own preferred methods. Read each of our therapists bios here!

Therapeutic or Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage (excluding stretch session): You can undress to your comfort level. Most people are completely undressed and the therapist is trained to cover you appropriately as they work on each body section.

Stretch Session: wear stretchy workout clothes. Men usually have a shirt on or are shirtless with sports shorts on. Women have a sports bra on and sports shorts or yoga pants.

You can absolutely get a massage before surgery! As for after your surgery, we recommend waiting at least two weeks after your procedure to come in for a massage (unless a doctor recommends you come in sooner).

In most cases, you can still receive massage with an injury. Be sure to let your therapist know of the injury so they can avoid irritating the area.

If the injury is new and still inflamed, we recommend allowing the swelling to go down a bit before scheduling a massage. As long as you are feeling well enough to be seen and a doctor has not advised otherwise, come in and just let us know what’s going on.

It’s up to you! If you get a massage before a highly physical weekend, you’ll be loosened up and less restricted in your movement; getting a massage after such a weekend/couple of days would do amazing work assisting in the recovery process.

Unfortunately no, all gift card sales are final.

No. Some accommodations may be made in cases where a client needs assistance to get on and off the massage table or needs assistance during the session.

Only the therapist and client receiving the massage may be present in the therapy room. To be in the room with them, you must book a couples session. If you do not have an appointment you are more than welcome to wait in our waiting area for the duration of their session.

The therapeutic session would be a traditional hands on massage and our Barefoot Ashiatsu sessions are our  deepest form of massage done with the therapist standing on the table using their feet instead of their hands. This allows the therapist to apply a much deeper and broader pressure than if they were standing on the ground leaning over you.

Short answer: Yes. All of our therapists can do deep tissue massage with just hands. However, each therapist is skilled in various modalities that allow them to curate a massage tailored to your needs specifically. Even if you are looking for firm pressure, we might recommend a therapist who is most comfortable with light or medium-firm pressure but who is trained in modalities that may be better for your massage needs/goals.

We require a credit card on file in order to book your appointment, but we will not charge the card for your service right away. You can pay with your gift card on your appointment day. The card on file will only be charged in case of cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment.
