“Rest and selfcare are so important . When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.” Eleanor Brown

Too often we feel self care is selfish. We are here to tell you that it’s actually quite the opposite from that. During this busy season that we are in, we all need to stop and take a moment to regroup or recharge. Without self care our bodies have a tendency to become ill or we feel pain more intensely when stress in upon us. The good news is that you can help prevent this!

What can I do to prevent this? That is a great question!

There are so many tools that you can take advantage of right within your own home. They all tend to be easy and as time consuming as you allow for your schedule.

STRETCHING is key. In order to maintain, you need to be stretching. Yes, we know it’s easier said than done, but I promise you will greatly benefit from it! Stretching will keep your muscles flexible, strong and increases blood flow.

MASSAGE BALL/ TENNIS BALL/LACROSSE BALLS are great to get to a specific spot that is bothering you! Place where you feel the pain, you can use stagnant pressure or roll against the wall or floor. Also ideal for the bottom of your foot if dealing with plantar fasciitis.

EPSOM SALT SOAK feels oh so good! Go pick some up if you don’t have any laying around the house. It’s effective and affordable! You can put a cup or two in your bath . If you aren’t a bath kind of person, just throw some into a full sink of hot water with hand towel. Let that towel soak for a minute or two and then after wringing the towel out, wrap where there pain is located. Easy breezy!

MASSAGE THERAPY of course! Is always a good way to maintain your health and wellbeing. Regardless of how frequently you can make it happen. Massage Therapy is not a luxury but rather a necessity to keep up with our chaotic lives these days. Take some time for yourself and book and appointment to keep you mind and body healthy during this season. It’s also always a great gift to someone as we can all use it!
